C-REX

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

This policy explains what C-Rex (“the app”, “we”) collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can get it deleted. It applies to the C-Rex iOS and Android apps.

The short version. We collect what the app needs to work: your account details, your location when you check in at a gym, the workouts you log, and the things you post or send to other users. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

1. Who we are

C-Rex is operated by Jerry Kwong. For any privacy question or request, contact jerrykwong2018@gmail.com, or use Settings → Support & Tickets inside the app.

2. What we collect

DataWhy we collect it
Account details — email address, display name, date of birth, gender, nationality To create and secure your account, show your profile to other users, and apply age-appropriate settings. Gender and nationality are optional and shown on your profile.
Sign-in identifiers — from Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple To let you sign in without a separate password. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever receive Apple’s relay address.
Precise location To show gyms near you and to confirm you are physically at a gym when you check in. Location is read while you are using the app and is not continuously tracked in the background.
Photos, videos and voice messages you choose to send To display your profile picture, community posts, and the messages you send in chats.
Camera and microphone access Used only while you are actively scanning a QR code, taking a photo, or recording a voice message. Nothing is captured in the background.
Workout and activity data — check-ins, streaks, exercises, sets, reps, XP To power logging, streaks, progress charts, leaderboards, and challenges.
Social content — posts, comments, likes, chat messages, group membership, follows To deliver the social features of the app to the people you share with.
Profile visits — which member profiles you open, when, and which Premium plan you had at the time To show members who viewed their profile — by name or anonymously, depending on both members’ plans — and to show a member’s recent visitors on their profile when they choose to display them. See section 4.
Reports and moderation records To review reported users or content and enforce our rules. Retained after the report is closed so we can act on repeat offenders.
Push notification token To deliver notifications you have enabled. You can turn these off in Settings or in your device settings.
Subscription status and plan — Monthly, Yearly or Lifetime To unlock premium features and to decide which profile visitors you can see (section 4). Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your card or payment details.
Diagnostics — crash reports, error logs, device model and OS version To find and fix crashes and bugs.

What we do not collect

3. How we use your data

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

4. What other people can see

C-Rex is a social app, so some information is visible to other users by design:

You can tighten this in Settings → Privacy — including a private account, message privacy, online status, and read receipts — and you can block any user at any time.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, for the purposes described above:

We may also disclose data if legally required, or where necessary to investigate abuse or protect someone’s safety.

6. Where your data is stored

Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required by law, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep it

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account and data from inside the app at any time: Settings → Delete Account. No email, no form, no waiting on support.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately in your Apple or Google account settings — deleting your C-Rex account does not cancel billing.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Most of this is available directly in the app; for anything else, email jerrykwong2018@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

10. Children

C-Rex is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is restricted, server-side rules control what each account can read and write, and purchases are verified server-side. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

12. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
