Something not working, or a question about your account? Email jerrykwong2018@gmail.com and you will get a reply within 2 business days.

To help us fix it faster, tell us the version of C-Rex you are running (Settings → scroll to the bottom), your device and iOS version, and what you expected to happen instead.

Check-ins

My check-in did not start at the gym

C-Rex confirms you are at the gym using your location, so a check-in needs location permission set to While Using the App or Always, and Precise Location switched on. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → C-Rex. With Precise Location off, iOS reports an approximate area that can be too coarse to place you inside the gym.

My session ended on its own

A session ends when you leave the gym area, so walking out of range — or losing GPS for a long stretch, which looks the same to the app — will close it. Sessions also close automatically after a long period so a forgotten check-in does not run overnight.

The gym I go to is not on the map

Email us the gym’s name and address and we will add it.

XP, streaks and challenges

My XP did not go up

XP is awarded by our servers, not by the app on your phone, so it can take a moment to appear and needs a working connection. Pull down on the home screen to refresh. Only the first completed session of each day earns the base check-in XP — later sessions the same day are recorded but do not pay again.

I finished a challenge but did not get the reward

Challenge rewards are not automatic: open the challenge and tap Claim. If Claim is not showing, the server has not yet counted the challenge as complete — the app will tell you the progress it can actually verify.

My streak reset

A streak needs one completed check-in per day. Days are counted in your local time zone, so travelling across time zones can shorten or lengthen the day a check-in lands in.

Premium subscriptions

I paid but Premium is not active

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. This re-checks your purchase with Apple and is the right fix after reinstalling the app or moving to a new device. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so they are cancelled through Apple: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select C-Rex. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds on Apple’s behalf, but tell us what went wrong and we will fix it.

Your account

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app: Settings → Delete Account. This removes your profile, check-ins, posts and messages. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that separately through Apple, as above. What we keep afterwards, and for how long, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy and who can see your activity

You can make your account private in Settings, so new followers have to be approved before they see your activity.

Reporting someone

Use the report option on the profile, post or message in question. If someone is harassing you, block them from their profile — blocking stops contact in both directions. For anything urgent, email jerrykwong2018@gmail.com with enough detail to identify the account and we will investigate.
